Author's name and created date
2007/01/19 15:34

Hello^^ Weird posting here eh?

I have a question regarding IntroText... I've looked in the module parameters and the IntroText content item I've made's parameters but I can't seem to find where I can hide the author's name and the created date from the content item like you have on this site. I hope I am clear enough.

I simply want a welcome message for my site; I have it all set up except for the fact that I don't want the "Written by" and the created date to be displayed on the front page.

Otherwise, great component!!

Zelaven

I think the author / update date etc is controlled in the main Joomla configuration. You can turn it off there. There's all sorts of surprises there - I'm still finding them

Hehe^^ I've looked there but I don't want to turn it off for all content/news items... just the welcome message I have made.

Hi Zelaven,

You can set this parameters for each content. So you just need to go to edit your welcome content and set those values in the Parameters tab, then those setting will just apply to the desired content.

Cheers!
