I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but isn't there a text file somewhere that has to have the right permissions?
Sorry I can't be more helpful, massimiliano. Have you tried searching for this - I'm sure it's come up before in the forums.
Try searching for hit/hits/counter/reset/zero/increment/
permissions etc - maybe something will come up.
Sadly, I don't have any site using eWriting anymore since I got hacked, so I can't even check them for you
