And finally here it is, after so many testings, I'm glad to introduce you to Missus 1.1 with many improvements and bug fixes included.
Many, many, so many features included, like:
- Mark messages as Read/Unread and mark replied/forwarded messages
- Allow to save messages as draft
- Acknowledgement of Receipts
- Allow users to set their own config and
- Allow users to create contacts lists
- Display CB or JB avatars on messages
- And all that comes with a tiny BBCode editor with smilies!
I'm quite satisfied with all the improvements, and I know many of you will be as well. The module is updated too, removed unused stuff and added links to user config and contact, so you can customize it as you want, along with an update of the plugin for Community Builder 1.0.1 and a hack for Joomlaboard 1.1.3
My big "Thank you" goes to Missus Test Team wich have been suffering the ups and downs of the betatesting: Cédric Frayssinet (aka Cédric), Florent Nouvellon (aka Florut), justit, Marius (aka M.M.M.), Mischa The Evil, Moran (aka ymca), Stéphane Leininger (aka phaphane), Stuart Hunter and Tony Khadiss. Your thanks should go to them, Missus won't be as stable and reliable without their testing skills.
You can grab your copy of this version in the Download section, along with the module, plugin and hack. Go to the Read More link for further details on how to update from previous version.
Have fun!
If you are updating from previous version Since there're changes in the table and file structure, you need to follow this steps to update: 1) BACKUP Missus tables!!! Yes!!! Backup rules!!! Just in case, installation won't remove the tables, but you never know. 2) Write down somewhere your Missus settings 3) Uninstall previous Missus installation 4) Install Missus 1.1 5) Reconfigure Missus settings
About CSS issues and tabs Latest packed Joomla CSS templates doesn't have the classes for the DHTML tabs included (ontab, offtab, tabheading and pagetext), making the Contacts window to display lists and contacts all in one. I don't know why they were deprecated without deprecating the javascript class that uses them (???) I can use the same tabpanes that are used for the backend, but they're hard to customize yet, and if you customize them, that same tabs are used all over Joomla admin, so it'll change the whole view of your admin. Who knows, maybe Joomla team is planning on including with template for customization in the future. That's the main reason I'm still using the old DHTML tabs. So if your CSS templates doesn't have those classes, you'll have to include them. Hopefully, next Missus version will support templates. |
